City planning for new police substation
City of Toccoa staff members will meet next week to discuss the renovations needed to turn a former grocery store into a new police substation.
“We will start the process of determining what will be needed to renovate the building for this purpose (a police substation),” city manager Billy Morse said.
He noted the city is trying to undertake the renovation project with city workers and it’s been slow developing.
“It’s just a busy time of year for them,” Morse said.
