Perrin receives education award
Stephens County school teacher Karrie Perrin was named the Georgia Alpha Delta Kappa Excellence in Education recipient at the organization’s state convention held April 27-29 in Atlanta.
The award recognizes excellence in education and it was presented by Marlene Kesler, a member of the local Gamma Delta Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa.
Perrin, one of six nominees, received a certificate and a $500 check. She teaches at the Stephens County Fifth Grade Academy and is a member of the Gamma Delta Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa and serves as chapter historian.
She holds a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education and a master’s degree as well as a Georgia Master Teacher certification from 2015-2018.
Perrin also has InTech, WebTech and Gifted endorsements. She is an academic coach, trained with the creators of the Promethean board is a certified trainer.
