Ritz Friends Work On First Fundrasing Campaign
The Friends of the Ritz, Inc. board of directors formally approved key elements of its first-ever fundraising campaign to benefit the Historic Ritz Theatre during its Monday, Jan. 28, meeting.
The board approved moving ahead with a basic individual membership for $36 per year, a special “80 for 80” campaign to celebrate the 80th year of the Ritz Theatre’s existence, as well as various individual donation and business sponsorship levels. Each program will have specific donor and business sponsor benefits which will be announced in the near future.
“All we are waiting on is our final 501(c)(3) designation from the IRS”, said Friends of the Ritz, Inc. president Keith Kozicki. The recent partial government shutdown delayed that process by over a month and according to Kozicki “all we can do now is wait and be ready to hit the ground running”.
