Renowned fiddler and storyteller Connor Civatte of Glasgow, Scotland, will perform at Steadfast Family Farm on Sunday, Aug. 27.
The free concert will begin at 7:30 p.m.with donations proceeds going to support the ministry of the farm.
The farm is located at 556 N. Broad River Road in Eastanollee.
The farm, which features equine therapy, is operated by Tod and Deana Bethea who share their message of peace, empowerment, joy and belonging.
Civatte combines a knowledge of pipes, fiddle, and a variety of other instruments, to be an effective musical storyteller in the Scottish tradition.
He is known for recounting historical tales of treachery or heroism, then telling the story again on his fiddle.
A Styrofoam violin was handed to Connor when he was merely 5-years old and he hasn't looked back since.
He began learning, as most do, the classical Suzuki way, but was not stimulated enough.
He then switched to fiddling, first learning with a mix of a Kevin Burke DVD, Google Images sheet music, and Youtube.
In the years that followed, Connor won more competitions (including the 2019 North American Championships) and awards than he has fingers and toes, and has become a musical tour de force.
There have been many musical influences on Connor's fiddling journey, including Celtic, Rock, Nordic.
He also has more recently expanded into the realm of composition, and many of his Celtic and Viking compositions can be heard at his performances, along with the history that inspired them.
Connor has jammed out onstage with some of the hottest names in modern Celtic music, including Albannach, Rathkeltair, Marcille Wallis and Friends, and Cutthroat Shamrock.
Currently, Connor is studying traditional music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
