Stephens County K-9 deputy Dexter assisted in the Nov. 16 arrest of two Toccoa men on drug charges.
Sheriff Randy Shirley said officers stopped a red Ford pickup truck in the area of Big A and Collins Road Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 11 p.m.
Dexter was brought in after the driver appeared to be “extremely nervous” and alerted that there were narcotics present.
Shirley said officers located some 2.1 ounces of methamphetamine, marijuana, and a variety of pills and other paraphernalia.
Driver Bradley Ragsdale, 44, of Toccoa, was arrested and charged with two counts of illegal possession of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession and use of drug related objects, possession of marijuana, felony probation violation.
Also; removing or affixing a license plate with the intent to conceal, driving without a valid license, failure to maintain insurance, and registration and license requirements.
A passenger in the vehicle was also arrested.
Chris Swanson, 59, of Toccoa, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, trafficking in meth-amphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession and use of drug related objects.
