School starts this week

Mechanic Kyle Meeks on Tuesday getting buses ready for the start of Stephens County schools next week. The school system is hiring full-time bus drivers. As of Tuesday, there were some five position open, said transportation director Dale Meeks. Meeks said interested parties can call 706-886-1633 to be assisted with filing out an application online. Grades K-12 start school on Thursday, Aug. 1.
