ABANDONMENT
The Stephens County Board of Commissioners will consider abandonment of a portion of Lake Louise Road .42 miles from the northern boundary of the Norfolk Southern Railway Right of Way to the southernmost point of tax map and parcel 040-089 from the county road system on the basis that it has ceased to be used by the public to the extent that no substantial public purpose is served by it and that its removal from the county road system is otherwise in the best public interest. The portion of Lake Louise Road to be abandoned is .42 miles in length and extends from the Railroad Right of Way and includes the road and Lake Louise Dam and shall end at Stephens County Tax Map and Parcel 040-089. This is to give notice that the Stephens County Board of Commissioners will consider the proposed abandonment at a meeting to be held at 8:30 a.m. on April 14, 2020 which will be held in the courtroom of the Stephens County Historic Courthouse located at 37 W. Tugalo Street, Toccoa, Georgia 30577. The above referenced portion of Lake Louise Road will be considered for abandonment at the meeting. Prior to considering the abandonment of the above referenced portion of Lake Louise Road the Stephens County Board of Commissioners shall conduct a public hearing 8:30 a.m. on April 14, 2020 pursuant to O.C.G.A. 32-7-2(b).
