Stephens County’s Katie Grace Randall is one of the top 10 golfers in the state after she tied for seventh place in the state AAA golf championships.
Randall cracked the top 10 in the Class AAA state championships played at Belle Meade Country Club in Thomson.
Randall’s two-day, 36-hole total of 169 landed her in seventh place.
On the opening day of the tournament Randall carded a score of 85 and fired an 84 on the second day.
Here 2022 performance was an improvement from her last appearance over the state championships last year in which she placed 11th in the state tournament.
This year, Randall tied Madelyn Taylor of Appling County for the seventh-place spot.
“Katie Grace has been a pillar of the golf program here at SCHS,” Indian golf coach Kirk Rogers said. “She will be missed as she moves on to college after graduation.”
This year’s individual state champion was Jessy Young of Westminster who carded a score of 1-over par 145 to claim the medalist spot.
