Stephens County High School tennis teams swept a pair of matches against White County last week.
On Tuesday, Feb. 15 the Indian boys rolled to a 4-1 triumph over the Warriors.
Notching a victory for the Tribe was Griffin Wilkinson as he won 6-0, 6-0 in straight sets at No. 1 singles.
Dawson Childs posted a 6-3, 6-4 victory at No. 2 singles.
The Indian duo of Clayton Bishop/Levi Spencer triumphed 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles while the tandem of Walker Terrell and Rusty Spencer prevailed 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
The lone loss for SCHS came in the No. 3 singles match where Joc Brown was defeated 6-3, 6-4.
The Lady Indian girls tennis team was also victorious 4-1 over White County.
Lady Indian Makiya Hutto picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win in No. 1 singles .
Fayeth Ivester of SCHS won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.
The Lady Indian duo of Tenley Boyd and Kaylin Snyder team to fashion a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 1 doubles.
The SCHS doubles duo of Abby Whitfield and Elizabeth Leverett triumphed 6-0, 6-1.
The lone Lady Indian loss came in a tightly contested battle that ended in an extra sets at No. 2 singles.
That’s where Lady Indian Erin Whitfield dropped a competitive three-setter by scores of 6-7, 7-5, 2-6.
Both SCHS teams are back in action today (Thursday, Feb. 24) when they visit Rabun County .
