The Stephens County Lady Indians softball team endured a three-game losing streak last week, including losses in two region matchups.
On Monday. Sept. 28, Stephens fell 8-5 to Oconee County in a non-region game played in Watkinsville.
One day later, on Tuesday, Sept. 29, Stephens was blanked by region foe Lumpkin County in a game played at Dahlonega.
On Thursday, Oct. 1, the Lady Indians hosted Region 8-AAA member Morgan County and fell by a 15-5 score.
A game scheduled for Saturday against East Hall was postponed for the second time by rain. The game has been rescheduled as the last regular season game of the year today (Thursday, Oct. 8.)
Stephens County’s overall record for the 2026 season is 15-8 pending two games this week. They are 7-6 in Region 8-AAA play.
