MAINTENANCE POSITION
Northeast Georgia Housing Authority will accept applications through Monday, August 31, 2026 for a Maintenance Mechanic I. This position is for general facilities maintenance; plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, painting, grounds, etc. Ideal applicant should be able to lift 75 lbs or more, have good math skills, and verbal skills. Must be self-motivated, multi-task oriented, be willing to be a team member, bondable, and possess a valid Georgia Drivers License. HVAC Certification, Electrical Certification, EPA Certification, and Experience in the Skilled Trades is desirable, not required. Applicant must be insurable by the Housing Authority's Fleet insurance carrier.
Application forms are available at the Maintenance Department located at 14 Kyte Street, Toccoa, Georgia Monday through Thursday 7:30 am until 5:00 pm. Kyte Street is off Collins Road across from Georgia Power.
