Want to take a look at how elections are going to run in Stephens County this year?
That opportunity will be available during an open house presented by the Stephens County Elections Office.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 23, from 5-7 p.m.
Elections superintendent Bruce Carlisle said the open house will “showcase the upgrades to the facility and demonstrate the elections process for the upcoming cycle.”
The county’s lone precinct has for years been located at the Stephens County Senior Center in the recreation complex off of Roselane.
That changes this year with all election processes taking place at the historic Stephens County court-house in downtown Toccoa.
That’s where the open house will take place.
“Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend,” Carlisle said, adding that a portion of the open house will take place while county commissioners are having their regularly scheduled meeting upstairs.
Carlisle said light refreshments will be available during the open house.
