Stephens County Election Superintendent Krista Terry is reminding everyone that the early voting period for the May 24 primary races concludes at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 20.
Until then, polls are open at the Stephens County historic courthouse every weekday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and also this Saturday, May 14, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Afterward, polls will move to the Stephens County Senior Center on Rose Lane and be open on May 24 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Terry said that the last day to apply if you want to get an absentee ballot is Friday, May 13.
Absentee ballots must be turned in by 7 p.m. on May 24.
Terry also said the elections office is seeking poll workers to work the election.
"Those interested in volunteering can call the office and I will advise them on how to proceed," Terry said.
