The Stephens County Extension will conduct a pair of seminars in the coming weeks.
The first It’s Tomato Time on Friday, April 16, at the Stephens County Extension Office (50 Eastanollee Livestock Road) in Eastanollee from 9-11 a.m.
Seminar topics will include soil fertility requirements, variety selection, planting, pest management, and other tips
The cost of attending the seminar will be $10 (cash or check) per participant with the chance to win door prizes as well.

The local extension service will hold a blueberry production meeting on Thursday, April 22 from 1-3:45 p.m. at Gate Cottage on the campus of Toccoa Falls College.
The meeting will educate participants with the knowledge needed to plant and maintain productive and healthy blueberry bushes.
Speaker will be University of Georgia Extension Southeast District Blueberry Agent, Renee Holland.
A hands-on pruning demonstration will be held following the seminar at the Finley Farm.
The cost of attending the seminar will be $10 (cash or check) per participant with the chance to win door prizes as well.
The deadline to register for the meeting is April 21.
