The Toccoa Symphony Orchestra will hold its annual outdoor Patriotic Pops Concert on Sunday, June 25.
The gate opens at 6 p.m. and the concert starts at 7:30 p.m.
The concert, featuring the full-sized orchestra will perform patriotic music at Lake Toccoa – home of the Links and Reflections Event Center on Black Mountain Road.
Concert attendees will be treated to a catered barbecue dinner before the concert and fireworks immediately following the concert for a full evening of entertainment.
There is also an option to attend the concert only without a barbecue dinner. The event will take place rain or shine.
Concert attendees bring their own chair or blanket to enjoy the wonderful music and many concert attendees show their patriotic spirit by wearing red, white, and blue to the event.
The orchestra, led by conductor Dr. Benji Stegner, will play patriotic music selections including God Bless America, The Stars And Stripes Forever and music from the Band of Brothers.
One of the highlights of the concert is the performance of the “Armed Forces Salute”, honoring the men and women who serve and have served our country. Active and retired military personnel are invited to stand up and be recognized for their service.
The audience will be in for a special treat when the First Baptist choir, led by Clay Young, sings the Battle Hymn of the Republic.
Tickets, including the barbecue dinner and water, are $30 per person for adults and $15 per person for children under 18.
A vegetarian meal option is also available. Ticket quantity is limited, and it is requested that they be purchased before June 19.

Tickets not including the barbecue dinner are $15 per person and may be purchased on a walk-up basis beginning at 6 p.m. at the gate on the day of the concert.
A cash bar is available for other beverages. Handicap seating is available.
No hard tickets will be issued. Ticket purchasers will receive a phone call or email confirming the ticket purchase. Concert attendees simply give their name at the gate.
