The Toccoa 11-under all-star baseball team’s District 7 run came to an end after a loss to Hart County in Lavonia.
Toccoa was eliminated in the double elimination tournament 29-0 against Hart County last week in Lavonia.
“We pitched well but they just hit the ball,” Toccoa manager Shannon Dean said.
“You know yesterday, Hart County got beat by Franklin County 20-2. You know they came in tonight they pitch well. We did not hit the ball as we should. We had a few errors in the field. They just executed,” Dean said.
Toccoa opened district play against Hart County and was dealt an 11-1 defeat.
That put Toccoa in the loser’s bracket of the double elimination tournament.
For Toccoa’s next game they had a match up with Hart County once again and the local all-stars were eliminated from district play.
Franklin was the eventual district winner.
