County, school system propose tax increases

BY MICHAEL O’HEARNTHE TOCCOA RECORD Pastor Ryan Bennett said he is OK with his new church being referred to as an “inner city” ministry.He said his church brings in people from all walks of life, even those who have been involved in gang activities in the area.

Historic WWII beam arrives at Military Museum

BY MICHAEL O’HEARNTHE TOCCOA RECORD The Currahee Military Museum received a rare piece of history from the D-Day invasion last week.On Wednesday, July 9, a 22-foot beam that was reclaimed from a historic barn near Utah Beach – a key landing site during the D-Day invasion, arrived at the museum.
