Watson to share life story

Author and speaker Thomas Leon Watson, a former resident of Toccoa, will share his life story during a talk at the Toccoa-Stephens County Public Library on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 6 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

The Georgia Commission on Family Violence (GCFV) presented its Task Force of the Year Award to the Mountain Judicial Circuit Family Violence Task Force at the 25th Annual Family Violence Conference.
The curcuit’s task force encompasses, Stephens, Habersham and Rabun counties.

Stephens County students cast in Cabaret

Three Stephens students are cast members in the the Piedmont College Theatre’s production of Cabaret.
They are Shelby Woodward of Martin, Jessica Eves of Toccoa and Donald Stoltz of Eastanollee.
The musical will be staged Thursday, Oct. 3, through Sunday, Oct. 6.
