Stephens County Girls' Soccer season ends in Sweet 16 against North Hall

Last Monday the Lady Indians were eliminated from the playoffs in the Sweet 16 when they were handed a 5-4 loss against North Hall in Toccoa. Leading in the scoring for the Lady Indians against the Lady Trojans was Morrow with two goals.

Stephens County’s Samara Walker is a back-to-back region champion in the shot put. Walker picked up her second region crown Monday when she threw a personal best of 39 feet, five inches for the Region 8-AAA title in Monroe.

SCHS tennis teams playoff bound

  Stephens County High School tennis teams wrapped up their region tournament action with both teams advancing into the state playoffs.                          On Tuesday, April 13,  the Lady Indians defeated Hart County in the Region 8-AAA semi-finals 3-1.

For the first time in over a decade, the Stephens County the Lady Indian soccer team earned the right to host a state playoff game.                         The Lady Indians accomplished the feat when they wrapped up the regular season as the No. 2 seed from Region 8-AAA.

Stephens County beats St. Joseph 11-1 in spring break win

 The Stephens County Indian baseball team enjoyed a spring break week victory over St. Joseph’s Catholic High School of Greenville, S.C. here on Monday, April 5.                         The Indians ripped the Knights in an 11-1 five inning win.
