Play resumes Friday night for the Stephens County football Indians when they travel to Hart County for a Region 8-AAA matchup with the Bulldogs.                         Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. in Herndon Stadium.

The undefeated Madison County Middle School Mustangs eliminated the Stephens County Middle School Rebels from the conference playoffs by posting a  30-7 win last Thursday in Danielsville.

Stephens County gets revenge over Franklin County in 37-0 region blowout

 The Stephens County Indians avenged 2020’s heartbreaking loss to Franklin County with a 37-0 whitewash of the Lions here last Friday. In the 2020 game in Carnesville, the Indians gave up eight points in the last minute of play including a touchdown on the last play of the game to lose to the Lions.

Stephens County sweeps Commerce and Rabun County in tri-match

   A Stephens County sweep in volleyball here Tuesday, Sept. 20, felt sweet for the Lady Indians.                          Even sweeter was the fact the Lady Indians defeated an opponent that dealt SCHS a loss earlier this season.

Lady Indians fall short in 11 innings against East Jackson

The Stephens County softball team rallied for three runs to force extra innings against East Jackson last week.                         However,  the Lady Indians fell short by an 8-6 score in a lengthy, 11-inning Region 8-AAA contest played here last week.
