Julie Paysen, left, current Chamber president, is stepping down at the end of June after 11 years in the role. Reavis, who has been training with Paysen since April 6, will take on the role on July 1.

County postpones vote on proposed data center rules

Early voting for primaries starts

BY MICHAEL O’HEARNTHE TOCCOA RECORD Early voting for the May 19 primaries started Monday, with 257 voters casting their ballots so far.That includes 229 in-person voters and 28 returned absentee ballots out of the 119 that have been requested, as of Wednesday morning.

Victory scarves donated to Stephens County museum

The Chestatee River Daughters of the American Revolution attended a local DAR meeting on Saturday afternoon to donate victory scarves to the museum. Victory scarves were used during WWII by servicemen and sent to their loved ones back home.
