NGTC students win at Burger Bash

Two North Georgia Technical College (NGTC) culinary arts students recently earned top honors at the 2023 Burger Bash hosted by the American Culinary Federation (ACF) Atlanta Chefs Association, Inc. (ACA) and Buckhead Meat of Atlanta, a Sysco company.

Country music singer/songwriter David Wills will perform at the Ritz Theatre on June 30.

Tugalo Records and Georgia Legends Concert of Royston recently announced a David Wills album concert set scheduled Friday, June 30, at 7 p.m. at the historic Ritz Theatre. The concert will also feature country entertainer, the Joe Olds Band of Commerce.

The Toccoa Symphony Orchestra will hold its annual outdoor Patriotic Pops Concert on Sunday, June 25.

The Toccoa Symphony Orchestra will hold its annual outdoor Patriotic Pops Concert on Sunday, June 25. The gate opens at 6 p.m. and the concert starts at 7:30 p.m.

BY LAURA HEWELL THE TOCCOA RECORD Toccoa Falls College president Dr. Robert Myers on Tuesday updated Toccoa Rotarians on the status of the institution. Myers said the college currently has 200 full time employees and many more part time employees.

Toccoa’s Doyle Street Pool will open for the summer season on Monday, May 29. Pool hours will be noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 1-6 p.m. Sunday. Admission to the pool is $3 daily or $170 for a season pass. The pool can be rented on Friday and Saturday from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
