Banks County takes a bite out of Stephens County in 62-45 win

Not even a bite on his shoulder could stop Banks County’s Carl Cleveland last Friday night in Currahee Arena at Stephens County High School.      Cleveland poured in 37 points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out four assists as he led the Leopards to a 62-45 win over the Indians.

Stephens County Girl's basketball off to a 5-0 start the best start since 1989

The Stephens County girls basketball team ended a nine-game losing streak to Franklin County when the two teams faced each other Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Currahee Arena.      The Lady Indians crafted a 57-27 blowout win  – their first over Franklin County since 2014 under Coach Anthony Daniel.

First year Stephens County boys’ basketball head coach Jeremy Hughes wants his team to continue to grow and do everything right including the small things.      Hughes said he feels like if the team achieves those things, the Indians will have success this season.
