The Stephens County Boy’s Basketball team absorbed their fifth straight Region 8-AAAA loss of the season when St. Pius defeated them 75-46 in ATL. Kenny Colwell led in scoring in the loss with 16 points. The Following Friday the Tribe experienced another loss by the hands of Hart County.

After dropping two straight Region 8-AAAA matches the Stephens County basketball team was looking to pick things up in region play when they faced North Oconee. The Indians nearly did that but came up five points shy in a 58-53 loss to the Titans on Jan. 14 in Bogart.

 More than halfway through the region portion of their schedule, the Stephens County Lady Indians sit atop the Region 8-AAAA standings.

Stephens County eighth grade blows out Elbert County 45-20

There was some concern from Stephens County eighth grade coach Blake Adams when he and his team hosted Elbert County Jan. 9 in Toccoa. The Rebels just came back from a long winter break and have not played a game in over three weeks along with just two days of practice since their previous game.
