  The Stephens County Indian basketball team  claimed a pair of victories in close games during last weekend’s Christmas in Commerce Tournament at East Jackson High School.      The Indians had to go in overtime for their first tournament matchup with Elbert County winning 60-57.

 The Stephens County girls basketball team claimed two wins last weekend in the Christmas in Commerce Tournament at East Jackson County High School.      The Lady Indians opened the tournament with a 53-38 win over Dawson County and the next day handed Loganville High School a 51-36 defeat.

Five Stephens County softball players elected unto All-Region 8-AAAA team

Yet Again just as last year five Stephens County softball players have made the All-Region list. The selected five are Jasmine Lowery, Laney McGee, Tyra hunter, Kasey Westmoreland and Aly Singletary. Three of the Lady Indians that made first team are Lowery, McGee and Hunter.

Stephens County Boy's Basketball starts region play with win over Madison County

 The Stephens County Indians stifled Madison County 57-28 at Currahee Arena Friday night to open the Region 8-AAAA portion of their schedule.       Leading the way for the Tribe was Kenny Colwell with 19 points.
