Indians softball blanks Tallulah Falls

BY LAURA SHAWTHE TOCCOA RECORD The Stephens County Lady Indians softball got a huge win over the Tallulah Falls Lady Indians on Thursday, Aug. 14, winning 23-0 in three innings. They struggled with the other three games played last week against Madison, Banks, and Elbert Counties.

Indians volleyball thwarted by Elbert County, Tallulah Falls

BY LAURA SHAWTHE TOCCOA RECORD    The Lady Indians Volleyball team played at home on Thursday, Aug. 14, against the Elbert County Blue Devils. In their first home match of the season, the Indians fell 2-0 to the Devils.

SCMS football wins big against Franklin Co. Cubs

BY LAURA SHAWTHE TOCCOA RECORD     The Stephens County Middle School Lady Rebels Softball team has started their season with four wins in the last week and only one loss. They faced East Jackson A and B teams, Hart County, Tallulah Falls, and Habersham County.

Battle of Currahee Mountain goes to Raiders

BY LAURA SHAWTHE TOCCOA RECORD    The Indians fell in the Battle of Currahee Mountain to the Raiders 27-3 after a rain delay on Friday night. This week, the Indians are on the road to Elbert County to face the Blue Devils with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff at The Granite Bowl.

UGA memorabilia traveling exhibit visits Toccoa library

High school volleyball season begins Aug. 5
