Lady Indians basketball falls to Habersham

BY TOM LAWTHE TOCCOA RECORD   The Stephens County Lady Indian wrestling team captured second place in an 11-team field of the Arrowhead Classic on Dec. 20 at Currahee Arena.
Stephens County High School got a new football coach this year in Thomas Flowers, who was the team’s defensive coach when former head coach Wes Tankersley was in charge. The gridiron gang performed well this fall, ending the season with a 6-6 record.

Surprises dominated sports in 2025

Wrestlers capture first place at Arrowhead

BY TOM LAWTHE TOCCOA RECORD    Two Stephens County Indian wrestlers captured first place in their weight divisions of the Arrowhead Classic staged Saturday at SCHS.   Garrett Krous captured first place in the 150-pound classification as he won all four of his matches.
