Indians basketball drops three

BY TOM LAWTHE TOCCOA RECORD    The Stephens County Indians led at times in the first half of two basketball games played last week, but a full 32 minutes is still required to post victories in high school basketball.  The result was the Indians dropped all three games last week to West-Oak, S.C.

Rebels girls basketball split by Elbert County, Granite City

BY TOM LAWTHE TOCCOA RECORD    Stephens County Middle School girls basketball teams split a pair of conference games over Elbert County here Thursday, Dec. 4.  The eighth grade girls overpowered the Lady Rams 50-15 while the seventh grade Lady Rebels fell 34-16 to the Granite City visitors.

Indians basketball nabs second win

BY TOM LAWTHE TOCCOA RECORD    The Stephens County Indians outscored visiting Oglethorpe County 10-3 in overtime here Friday to craft a 67-60 triumph over the Patriots and claim their second win of the 2025-2026 hardcourt season.

BY TOM LAWTHE TOCCOA RECORD    The Stephens County Indians stormed to a 42-7 halftime lead over East Jackson here last Friday night then held on over the final two quarters to post a 49-34 Region 8-AA victory over the Eagles.
