Stephens County High School has been relcassified

    Stephens County High School, a long-time resident of Region 8-AAA, will return to its roots in 2020 following reclassification by he Georgia High School Athletic Association (GHSA).     The GHSA released reclassification for 2020-2022 on Tuesday.

SWCD trains about butterflies

    The Stephens County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) recently hosted a Monarchs Across Georgia educator workshop.     The event was designed  to provide teachers and non-formal educators with tools vital for educating youths about pollinators and specifically the Monarch butterfly.

City approves subdivision zoning request

    City commissioners on Monday approved a zoning request that will pave the way for a new housing development of 35 single family residenes.     The development, Quail Forest, is located in the area of the intersection of Roselane and Skyline Drive.
