The Board of Trustees of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) on June 13 voted to reaffirm the accreditation of Toccoa Falls College for the next 10 years.

Body found in house fire

Toccoa police officers were on their way to assist with a property retrieval last week that changed to a fire response.
Police chief Jimmy Mize said that on Thursday, Aug. 8, officers were responded to a residence on East Currahee Street.

Urns damaged in Patriot Park

Urns at Patriot Park in the City of Toccoa were damaged over the weekend.
The park is located on Doyle Street across from Regions Bank.
Toccoa police chief Jimmy Mize said the police department is looking for two young white males that were seen in the area near the time of the incident.
