Ribbon cutting held for pregnancy center

The Toccoa Life doors are open in its newly-renovated  location on Highway 17 south which includes the installation of new ultrasound equipment. The event was celebrated by a Chamber of Commerce-sponsored ribbon cutting ceremony held last Thursday.

Stephens EMS: 50 years of service

    Stephens County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is celebrating its 50th anniversary.     Present and former EMS workers recently were served a lunch at their station near Stephens County Hospital and another observation is planned next month.

    Stephens County deputies stumbled upon a scene last week to find multiple stolen items including a boat.     Sheriff Randy Shirley said that on Friday, July 19, deputies were serving an arrest warrant on Christine Circle for the  Dawson County Sheriff’s Office.
