Stephens County volunteer firefighters responded to a house fire early Monday morning that injured one resident.

Toccoa man dies in Mt. Airy

A Toccoa man was stabbed to death late Saturday night in a Mt. Airy home, leading to Habersham County’s first murder charge of the new year.

Flag retirement box at Historical Courthouse

In partnership with the National Association of Counties, the National Flag Foundation, Stephens County has installed a flag retirement box, at no cost to the county, at the historic Stephens County Historical Courthouse.
Flags should be folded respectfully before being placed in the box.
