Metamphetamine continues to be scourge to county

    The Stephens County Clerk of Court's Office recently released 25 felony accusations with all save five of them including charges of methamphetamine possession.     The accusations were the second set issued in Stephens County by prosecutors this year.

    Stephens County volunteer firefighters responded to a house fire early Monday morning that injured one resident.     Eastanollee VFD fire chief Jamey Gettys said firefighters responded to a residence on Old Brookhaven Circle at 3:30 a.m., Monday, Jan. 20.

Toccoa man dies in Mt. Airy

    In partnership with the National Association of Counties, the National Flag Foundation, Stephens County has installed a flag retirement box, at no cost to the county, at the historic Stephens County Historical Courthouse.      Flags should be folded respectfully before being placed in the box.
