Last weekend I crossed something off my bucket list. I went sky diving, and it was so much fun also it was very scary. Not going to lie I was very nervous even a week leading up to the big jump. Sky diving was something I always wanted to do at least once because it looks so much fun.

Lady Indians pick up region win on senior night

The Stephens County  Lady Indians basketball team picked up a Senior Night win along with their first Region 8-AAA victory of the season here last Friday.                         The Lady Indians accomplished those feats when they beat Oconee County 50-39 in Currahee Arena.

After dropping their first Region 8-AAA game of the season the Stephens County Indians evened their league mark here last Friday.                         Using a 9-0 run over the final minutes of the game, the Indians dispatched Oconee County 59-53 on Senior Night.

Toccoa native Eric Perry is on a roll with his professional boxing career.  The Toccoa-made boxer finished his second fight and won by a first round 2:03 knockout Dec. 12 in Pell City Ala., to extend his pro record to 2-0.

 The Stephens County girls basketball team got off to a slow start against Mountain View at the beginning of a round robin holiday tournament in Commerce on Monday.  The Lady Indians seemed slightly rusty  due to not playing any games in more than a week.
