THE STATE OF GEORGIA  EXECUTIVE ORDER    .  BY THE GOVERNOR:  EXECUTIVE ORDER TO ENSURE A SAFE & HEALTHY GEORGIA  WHEREAS:  On March 14, 2020, due to the impact of COVID-19 on the State of  1 Executive Order No. 03.14.20.

Sheriff's Office Explorers attend Winterfest

    Stephens County Sheriff’s Explorer Post 77 traveled to Gatlinburg, Tenn., Feb. 6-9 for the 40th annual Winterfest.     The event brings together Venturers and Explorers from the southeastern and southwestern states for serious competition and serious fun.

Closing schools no easy matter

    School superintendent Bryan Dorsey on Tuesday said he was more concerned about potential weather conditions tomorrow (Friday, Feb. 21) than he had been during previous weeks.     The school board on Tuesday was discussing processes the school system has to determine when to close to schools.
