Stephens County High School tennis teams swept a pair of matches against White County last week.      On Tuesday, Feb. 15 the Indian boys rolled to a 4-1 triumph over the Warriors.     Notching a victory for  the Tribe was Griffin Wilkinson as he won 6-0, 6-0 in straight sets at No. 1 singles.

Stephens County baseball going for fifth straight playoff appearance this season

   The Stephens County Indian baseball team will seek their fifth straight postseason playoff appearance when they open the 2022 season at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday against Apalachee in Winder.       SCHS has qualified for the state playoffs in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

The Oconee County Lady Warriors defeated the Stephens County Lady Indians 46-25 here Tuesday, Feb. 1.       It was the seventh consecutive region loss for the Lady Indians.      “We never gave up,” Stephens head coach Laura Baker said.

Stephens County Girls' basketball on eight game losing streak after falling to East Jackson and Franklin County

 The Stephens County Lady Indians basketball team lost a pair of games last week to extend their current losing streak to eight games.      The Lady Indians were beaten 54-44 by East Jackson there on Wednesday, Jan. 19, and fell 60-32 to Franklin County in Carnesville on Friday night.
