Hart EMC wishes to invite our members to our first ever Drive-Thru Annual Meeting on Thursday, July 23, 2020. The meeting will take place at our main office located at 1071 Elberton Highway, Hartwell, Georgia.  Members can drive-thru anytime between 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Stephens County Republicans announce event

The Stephens County Republican Party will host an informal barbecue lunch and stump speech event on Saturday, July 25, at Henderson Falls Park. Barbecue will be served beginning at 1:30 p.m. Stump speeches from Republican candidates for Congress, U.S.

    North Georgia Technical College has announced fall semester 2020 academic plans for returning to campus for students.     The Clarkesville, Currahee and Blairsville campuses will begin fall semester Aug.

About a month after reopening, the Doyle Street pool will be closing again after a person who was at the pool reported they may have been contagious while there.

    The historic Ritz Theatre will kick off its 2020-2021 concert season on Friday, July 31.     That’s when famed country singer Linda Davis, along with her husband Lang Scott and Bill Whyte, will return to Toccoa  to open the Night at the Ritz Series.

    Two suspects invaded a Toccoa home Friday evening and used a handgun to injure a man.     Toccoa police chief Jimmy Mize said officers responded to 387 S. Pine St. at 8:37 p.m. on Friday, June 26 in reference to shots fired.
